Research. Teaching. Practice.
Meet Allison Bloom, Ph.D.

Welcome! I am an applied cultural and medical anthropologist and an Assistant Professor at Moravian College. My research interests and areas of expertise include gender studies, medical anthropology, U.S. immigration and Latinx studies, applied anthropology, and inequalities in health and social services, with a focus on domestic violence, aging, and disability.

My work centers around qualitative ethnography and draws on professional experience in the social services field. I am available for lectures, consultations, and research projects with researchers or research institutions, practitioners, and non-profits.
